Has anybody every replaced the shifter cable? I need a new or used cable and i dont know the length to get one... Where can i get a new one CHEAP? I know g-body have one but its my second option..

Yeah when you order a B&M shifter it comes with a cable.. so just get one of those coming and go a head and yank that old clunky shifter out and send it my way I will properly dispose of it ;) (I have a perfect project I've been looking for lighten rods for)

Good luck with the search ... as usual I'm no help other than smartass remarks.

I read on an Olds site that a 77-82 Corvette cable (Dorman and others) is the same or close to the 83 Cutlass Lightning Rods cable.
I also thought a Hurst 5000025 (both ends eyelets) might work.

I think the length varies by application. The cable I have is from a universal model and is 64" from eyelet to eyelet and 52" from mounting clip slot to mounting clip slot.
I think the Olds 442 (GM) cable is shorter.
