anyone familiar with BitTorrent?

Hey all,


I have been searching around the net and I have found a bunch of shows that i want to get, but they are only accesible with bittorrent.

I reasearched it out a bit, and I found you have to set up to share with others as well as set your firewalls and port access. This makes me worried that it could be a big security risk.

No, the admin of one site says this is not correct, but I do not want to take advice from the lion in his own home...

Can someone smarter then me fill me in on this?

I've been using bittorrent for about a year, maybe longer and have had no problems. Just download and when finished, let it seed for a while to let others get it from you and no problems. Shoot me an email and I'll give you a list of sites to use.

What kind of shows are you wanting? I've used bit torrent, but I like emule much better. Emule has just about everything you need, and has it's own search function.
