Anyone have a TPS sensor go bad?

Mine is going all the way down to.04 at idle setting a code then will rise when acceleratting so I know it works but I have to unplug it and it will go back to.42 then back down every so often. Is this thing bad? Dan

YEP....one read just weird in general, the other would read way high at WOT no matter what I did.

Oh yea, it could be your tps. I had the same problem. To test:
take a voltmeter and move the lever to the bottom. You should have 5.0 volts. If you don't, then it's bad. Don't forget to check your grounds at the end of the block...very important.
