Would like to be able to shoot accurately in the 100-300 yard rang with the scope.I'll use the flip up iron sights for under 100 yards. Maybe under $250 or so,maybe a little higher. Also want to get a front grip and or bipod,unless there is 1 unit that can be used for both.

If you want to shoot "longer " ranges , do not skimp on optics . I will not put anything less than Leupold scopes on my guns . They are not the cheapest scopes out there , but they can take a beating , optics are bright , retain zero , and when you adjust for windage & elevation they move consistently and accurately . I hav them on my Thompson Center Contender Hand Cannon in 358JDJ , T/C Encore 22-250 & muzzle loader , and Savage 110BA 300win mag.

This is what a good scope will help achieve. This is 2 shots at 100yds from my TC Contender pistol and yes they are in the same hole !

Anyone know anything about Live Free Armory in West Melbourne Florida? They are making new custom Glock 17 slides and 9mm conversion barrels for G22's. I have been considering a slide and barrel for a G22 police trade I picked up to customize. Curious what the quality is from them.

I have been considering one of their AR's too. I don't see how you could build it cheaper for the quality and customization they afford? I bought a S&W sport 2 over a year ago which I still haven't fired but would like to build a custom AR cant be any more difficult than a Buick V6 lol!

Guns are a hobby of mine. I have been an avid collector/builder for a while now. Here is one my my builds. This one was for me. I build a lot for buddies that have no idea wtf they are doing, just know what they want, and how much they want to spend.

Billet receivers, Nor-Guard coated. Nickel Boron bcg, 3.5lb trigger. A few Ti parts including the brake.
1 in 8 twist, .223 Wylde chamber.

Still pretty naked in this pic. Added a 1-4x32 scope, and Diamondhead flip-ups.

Just one of my builds. Also have more than a few pistols, including 1911's. Most recent is a .22 TCM. Damn, that thing is accurate, and lets out a very impressive fireball. Over 2000 fps in a 5" barreled pistol.

Anyone else have any interesting builds?

Very Nice. Did you go with the 223 chamber for accuracy? I have read it is slightly tighter than the 556 chamber.

I am looking at a new to me/used rifle. Since it is an old used rifle, I am curious as to what to look for that could reveal signs of trouble or extraordinary use. I have heard about the trigger pin hole in the lower being a wear point?
So no build, yet, but you sound like you know your way around and have more experience than I do so maybe you can give me some pointers on looking over an old rifle.
