Anyone know something about the 93 t/a prom/ecm?

My car has a code 26, which is quad driver module 1. I have no scan tool to command solenoids, relays, etc. so I was thinking why not get an aftermarket chip. I have already had to gut the cat and pull the air pump cause they were no good. THis has been done for quite sometime with no ill affect so I know it isn't from this. I'm sure a simple hypertech will not solve this problem because the emissions isn't deleted off. Anyone know where I can get a better tune with no emissions for a decent price. I wonder if eric could do one????? Maybe cottons?

You need to find out WHY the quad driver failed. A common cause would be a shorted fuel injector or a shorted wire. If you replace or repair your ECM without fixing the cause, you might end up with the same problem again. Food for thought.

I think there are a few relays or solenoids in between there according to the GM service manual. Not all the codes for the 93s are the same as the 94-97 lt1s. Here's a link:

I'm sure I could check for some of the stuff without a scan tool. Probably won't be entirely accurate though. So I'm guessing its one of these:bad relay, bad solenoid, faulty wire, bad ecm????
