anyone know the minimum torque for a rearend (posi clutches)

Just wondering what the minimum torque my buddy should have on his rearend clutches. If you put a torque wrench on one axle and hold the other whats a round about figure we should be looking for . There is not problems w/ it now but it is out of the car for painting and new seals. thanks Rich.

I think I remember reading the Auburn in my GN is 800'#. It's a little different setup, but prolly 500'# would be close.

If I had to guess mine (stock) feels like about 40 ft lbs before the tire turns. Mine works great and always spins both tires.

I beleive the spec in the service manual is ~ 40 lb/ft.

... i before e except... oops
