Anyone Like Pontiac's?

Well next month we will have an article about us (Me and My wife) on High Performance Pontiac Magazine. We went to race @ California Speedway for our POCI event and they ended up choosing us for the "Horse Power Shootout" section. The guy just sent me a preview of the article (no pics though) and it looks pretty well written. Cant wait to see it on news stands!:biggrin: Our first magazine write up!

The Hemmings guy was all over my car at the National last summer, but its not old enough for their publication.

It is the White Grand Prix GTP that the wife races (well she used as we just had a kid and now that car is my daily driver and has been de-tuned for fuel ecnomy:biggrin: ) License plate 12SECGP . She did good though. I was hoping to get her into the low 12's but track condition and temperature sucked big time. She ran 12.5 @ LACR and I was hoping to do a little better after installing the nitrous delay and some more tunning but I think she ran a best of 12.6 ish..... Oh well, atleast the license plate dont lie:biggrin:

Oh yeah, I think that "corrected et" is bs also, I doubt the car will every run 11's and thats what they put the corrected et as....... but alteast it makes us look fast!

Well hopefully it wont be after I put the trans in with the high tc! ... but yeah for now it is:frown: . Good thing I drive it though, if not who knows how many speeding tickets she would get!

Hey dont get mad cause a girl in a fwd GTP will beat you with the a/c on!... so when you gonna cruise on by chump? and heard you went to the track? didnt know Barona finally got a hour glass to time you, or did the just use the sun?

I belong to the Royal Pontiac Club. One member has a ratty looking GP with the supercharged 3800 and runs in the 11's. Absolutely destroyed the tranny on a burnout once.

Yeah, Im with SCACGP (Southern California Club Grand Prix) and like about 80% of the guys have blown their trannies, some multiply times. Thats the only reason I didnt want to go faster. So far the car has 178K miles, stock tranny with a shift kit and trans cooler....THATS IT!. Only used synthetic fluid and never had any problems. Just with the driveshafts throwing grease but thats common. Never had to rebuild the trans or anything and its still a daily driver. But I figure it would be cheaper to get the GN to run 10's than getting the GP to run 11's. Plus RWD is better! Here's a video of my car at the late LACR in about 110 degree weather.
