Seems to me like once you want to go faster than mid tens, the insanity really begins. Its unreal how much money gets tied up in these cars when the speed fever really gets going. That car on ebay could probably be had for a 1/5th of what he's got in it. I guess its an addiction like anything else.:D :D :D

You say that you won't put a cage in it? I have always said that I would never put a cage in it. It's supposed to be a sleeper, so a cage was out. That was one of the reasons that I planned on stopping at 12.0. Now, I am trying to plan out the cage so that it can be hidden as much as possible, and won't be seen from the outside until you are right at the windows. And I won't tint the windows either, because that says the car is modified. Of course, that is the story today. Who knows what it will be tomorrow?
 
I will be going in reverse pretty soon. One more outing at the track with this ta49 (10.99)and the stocker is going back on for mid 11's of course all on 93 octane. Somone's gotta do it!:)

My goal was high 11's, did it....... Was nearly a daily driver while doing it too. Now that I reached that goal, and I have a different daily driver, I very rarely get the car out of the garage:( . In fact since I've stopped driving it so much, I'm even more paranoid when I do drive it! Still a lot of fun to drive though!
 
"Stock" I wanted 12s. Stock turbo went, got a 44. Then went all out with PT51, Powerstroke, and 50s, stock motor w/ small 206/206 cam. Ran 11.80s on street tires, thought that was enough. My TR buds made me bolt on ET streets. Went 11.50s. Bolted on ET Drags and left harder, went 11.30's through the stock elbow and a 3" DP. Added some fuel and boost and a ATR DP, went 11.teens. Then once again, my buddys pushed me, I removed the spare tire and jack, front sway bar, and did a few small suspension items, bolted on skinnies up front and went 11.08. One more psi of boost, and maybe some more fuel, I want fricken 10s............but after that, I swear Im Done! :rolleyes: LOLmade

lol yeah ya never know.... But seriously i use the GN as a daily driver half the time and my truck for the rest of the time ( can only have 1 vehicle at a time down at college). so i really need a backseat for friends and girl "friends" lol;). But i really don't want to tear it up for a cage, even if its a clean install. My other problem is that I'm only a turbo and a few fuel mods away from 10s but i don't have a girdle or stronger main caps so im not willing to sacrafice the motor yet either. but like ya said who knows what the story will be tommorow as its gonna be hard to not wanna keep up with my friends 347 he's about to drop in a 2800# fox body.
