Anyone running the K-40 Radar System in their vehicle?

I am thinking about purchasing this system and was wondering if anyone has it, and if they are happy with the way it works. Seems to be pretty hi-tech but then again I dont know alot about radar detectors. So, any feedback you have would be appriciated.

I use a Beltronics RX65. It picks up Ka band a mile down the road. But if you drive past an airport the laser mode will go off once and scare you - it's an intense warning. But I still love it. Saved me many times over. It costs a few bucks but super nice. Amazon has the best price.

I use the Escort Passport 9500ix, Won't leave home without it. Expensive but, worth every dollar....Tells you where all the red light cams and speed cams etc. We have a million of those on the east coast....So it works great for me

This thread got me to install my old Valentine 1 from the now unused WE4 to the GN last night.

And yes it's worth its' weight in gold and I've got the big old heavy one.

I run an Escort Passport 8500 X50. It has picked up cops so far away on the freeway that I unplugged it thinking it was broken. Also a super sweet feature that has saved me many times is the cig lighter plug blinks red when its picking up something. Many times my stereo has been too loud to hear the detector beeping but I always notice the flashing red light!

well it seems theres more to say about the passport then the K40. I read up on both, I like the K40 cause its a hard install detector, and the passport is more mobile. Most of the reviews I find seem to be biased for the passport then the K40. But K40's site is a good sell. Just not sure if it lives up to it for that kind of money.

I also got my mint in box Passport off CL for $140. Guy was moving back to dubai.....make sure to check your local cl listings. Maybe a good deal will make the decision for you.
