If you sell regularly on ebay do you ever notice how many stupid questions you get asked?

Typical ? = Do you ship overseas DUH!

Here is a funny one = I am selling a Cobra for my boss.
1st line says Adult one owner.
Email to me: How many owners ? DUH don't you read.

Same guy: does the car run or drive. GEE for $9900 I would hope so.
WHAT a BUNCH of DOLTS ebay buyers are

:D Actually it is a 98 Cobra
I didn't want to mention here because I know we all hate them..

Books out at $14,9 Have it on Ebay for $9,9 with NO reserve.

I got this emailed to me when I was selling my 30k mile TTA... admittedly not mint, but it ran mint and was straight and very very clean!

I could give you $6k CASH on Saterday if the car is nice and what does it need restored? Get back to me if interested, thanks,
Matthew in Michigan

OHH Cash.... that means I wont have to slide your credit card thru the CC machine I had installed in my ass crack!!

I listed a 68 GTO for my buddie. I wrote the description up and said, all questions contact George[the owner] I left his email and phone number. I got all kind of crazy emails wanting to trade for a Corvette that needed restored, another car and money, the typical low ball offer:rolleyes: My reply....read the description, its not my car, call the phone number listed in the auction......................idiots:mad:

Slide the CC thru my azz crack LOL :D :D :D

Yeah I got typical WILL you consider trades question A lot.

It is crazy.

What year is the mustang?

I've been cleaning out my garage too, made quite a bit on what I thought were junk parts! A guy paid me $115 for some stock original SBC TPI injectors that I almost threw away, although nothing was wrong with them, just didn't have a use for 'em.
Another $75 for a stock air cleaner assembly for my truck.

I know EXACTLY how you feel!!! I sell on Ebay and get stupid questions all the time. The ones that really piss me off are when you are selling something that is worth say $200 starting bid at $9.99 with no reserve and you get someone asking "How much is shipping?"....My feeling is WTF do you care!?!? you are bidding $10 on a $200 part and you are worried about shipping?!? ...

Morons!! Morons I tell ya!

Funny thing is that those who ask stupid questions either never bid or never end up buying it anyway!

littlesixsteve,

Is that a mustang and is it carburated or fi?

Sounds a little high asking price for a snake.

I know what you mean with moronic questions and people that don't read directions who aren't blind either.

LOL,
Drew

I agree.....I have been proven wrong with zero feedback people before who were actually just new and ended up being standup guys but when selling a car zero feedback would make me very nervous as well.

My first purchase/transaction on eBay was my TTA :)

someone had the balls to email me on a item i was selling on ebay to tell me that they "would have" bid on my item, but shipping and handleing was twice what HE thought it should have been-

i always pre-guess the shipping on 99% of the items i sell-

so once this 100.00 valued item sold for 17.00 on ebay, i emailed the jackass back and told him he could have had a 100.00 valued item shipped to his door for 37.00 "IF" he would have bid..

alot of people just dont get the big picture:rolleyes:

still cleaning out the garage!

One of the things I hate is if I was to include the shipping cost(let's say $4.30 for priority mail) and my auction states "ship to US only"...then someone bids on it from Canada and doesn't bother to tell me until they send the money. I don't mind selling to other countries but at least have the common sense to tell the seller and understand shipping costs more than it does to go to the US!

The other thing I hate is the constant "How much to buy it now" question...if I wanted a buy it now price I would have friggin listed one!!! I list things cheap and people I guess seem to think I don't know what I have and will sell it to them dirt cheap for a buy it now price

Don't even get me started on the rant of the problems with Ebay themselves and the fact that they won't do squat unless it directly affects their wallet!!

:D

i had the same problem

sold an intrepid i aquired through an imound
first thing i stated is that "i have keys & it runs and drives"

not 1 but 2 idiots email me asking if i have keys and does it run

i guess they just look at the pics and not the text

Dammitt, Rogue leader you made me spit pop all over my computer. LOL LOL LOL :D :D :D :D :D

Going through it again right now....I'm selling a GM factory supercharger from a Bonneville or something...I know nothing about it, don't know the year etc, and every moron wants me to discect the stupid thing for pictures and give them the life story of it AFTER I stated I knew nothing about it.....the kicker is that I listed it for $2 rather than throw it away!!! and everyone wants to waste my time with stupid questions. There really needs to be a "reach out and smack someone" button on Ebay! I really want to response with something like "How about YOU buy it for the Friggin $2 and YOU figure out what it is and then YOU sell it for more money....I don't care!"

"I see stupid people.....and they are on Ebay".

Great topic guys, thanks for the place to rant:D

I would have told them, "yes I have a flat head screw driver (the keys) and it runs after connecting the 2 wires on the starter" :D
