Nutty Regal, did you leave the top half of the washer below the rail? it looks like that from the pics. And did you level it with the weld? Thanks again. I want to start this weekend, with hopes to get the frame to the powdercoater this winter. You can see some pics of where i am here

Sorry, it's actually here
Looks great Luke!! Is it still for sale?? Could I take it for a test drive??;)* Just kidding,* Looks very familiar. You should start a progress thread so we can watch your progress. Let us know if we can help or give you some suggestions! As you can see here, I've been there!!!

hey that first pic reminds me of my car when I first got it:eek: The wife and I are gonna be coming to des moines or we may make the trek to davenport. Jeremy is gonna trade me the bumper support I got for the one I was supposed to get. (not going to get into THAT ordeal right now:mad: ) Maybe we'll have to arrange a get together (drink beer and watch
b()()bies;) ) I got 2 of the holes cut out. I measured them the best I could from the body. The holes I have to repair are so rotted out there was no way to reference off them. Might have to do a little surgery to get them to go when it comes down to it but it will be better than what it was that's for sure. I might have some time to spend on it a little the next 3 days so I might actually have something to show by next weekend. We'll see:rolleyes:

YOU CHEATER! You used a body rotisserie. You're supposed to do it the hard way like I'm doing you jerk;)

So when you thinkin about wandering down to these parts?? I'd like to meet up. That is, if you don't mind hangin with a jerk and all!;) :D You and Jeremy should meet up here in DSM. Kinda half way for both of you...be a fun stop for ya!:D Maybe you could drag that core support home with ya if you haven't found one yet.;) ...Among other parts and stuff.:D

THat's the plan anyway. Gonna meet at prasad's. I told him to let me know in advance so we can set it up and the wife and i can make a weekend out of it, get a room, stuff like that. I'm trying to get his old core support from his gn cause I'm sure it would be minimum maintinence to make it purty again. I still need a few things like a set of good bumper extensions, bumperette rubbers, front rub strip, window trim, stuff like that. Not needing too much, just a bunch of little stuff. I sent some money off for boxed rear arms and I got the holes cut out for the washers today. It's not perfect cut but the job is done. If things go as planned I will be buying a set of moog ball joints and arm bushings so I can get those done also. It should start coming together pretty soon as long as I can keep getting some time in on it.

well after all that mess and griping about the rotisery to answer lucks question yes i put the washer under the frame and placed plenty of weld to grind off and smoothed it out. sorry that i just got to my e mail had to work some ot this weekend.

Well if you did it usetaboost lets see some picks:p I still got 2 to fix and i will take you on that chanllenge:cool: got to have some fun you know

Yeah cars suck. Better than doin an old rusty truck though:eek: I'll snap a few pics tomorrow if I remember. It's not pretty though. I cut it all out with a small air saw. I gotta thing with power saws:cool: May be borderline unhealthy;) Hopefully I'll get to weld the washers in this weekend.
