Has anyone had any experience using a gearvendors overdrive behind a TH400, if so , how did you like it, what rear gear are you using , ? Thanks JEFF

yea, id like to do the same deal... ive heard great things ... only complaint is cost and extra weight for racing. Other than that they are SWEET! Also, this OD unit can be shifted anytime, in any gear... (3 speed becomes 6 speed!) .. some other cheaper units have certain speed criterion before you can engage em which sux.

What kind of power are you pushing and what car is this trans for? Gear vendors are spendy units and if you are looking at saving money on a good 200 4R you may want to consider the total cost of building a tough 400 with the gear vendor vs the right 200 4R.
Let us know whats up and it would be easier to tell you what is up.

Just outta curiousity, why have other Buick tranny vendors not jumped unto this concept aswell (the gear venders unit on a T400)? I am sure lots of people would be all over it, especailly if it was cheaper then the gear vendors unit. How much do they weigh? Theres alot of people in here with a T400 that would love to have that option of another vendor with better prices. Looks like Gear vendors has the market cornered with this.

AOD!!!!!!!!

Less money go w/ stage 2 AOD from CK performance, mine has been 2seasons of 10's in a small block camaro,no problems!!! can't wait to put one in the GN

TH400/ Gear Vendors Overdrive

Well I priced a bullet proof 2004r at 3200 to 3500 for a 700+hp stage 2 , and a well built TH400 and a GV overdrive at about 3300 , and the TH/GV looks like a better set up, seeing how it will offer in a way like having a two range rear gear, or a four speed overdrive, a two range rear without having to change the chunk if using a ford 9" rear, . I would like having the ability to have at the touch of a button , crusin or racin. This is the set up I will use, what do the rest of you guys think . JEFF
