I noticed these were Island-grown. Anyone using them? Better than a K&N?

I'm using an 8" on my GMC Sonoma and, supposedly, it flows like a "regular" 12" cone. Looks exactly like a K&N with a cotton filter though of course it has the inverted cone on the end. As for performance, I can't tell a difference. Kinda pricey though.

Thanks, robo1! My car came with the K&N (as part of a KB ram-air kit) in the trunk, so I put it on and it's been fine. Yet, there have been reports that some who couldn't get WOT MAF numbers at 255 switched from a K&N to an S&B and got 255 right away. I like the unit that has the base funneled instead of sharp like the K&N. That's gotta help flow. But like you say, they are pricey. If I didn't have a cone filter already, I'd go for it.

I don't know about measurable performance gains. But when I put one on my car it whoooooooossssshhhed a lot louder!
