Are all TH200-4R's 27 spline input shaft?

Just wanted to make sure, the 27 spline convertors that fit pre-1985 700's will fit ALL th200-4R transmissions? Also, since I am using a v8, my convertor manufacturer is telling me that I need a v8 convertor, not a v6 one. I only thought the convertor mated to thr trans, and the three bolt circle for the flywheel were universal. Guess I was wrong. Anybody know this to be the case? Thanks

You are correct. All are the same. As for v6 vs v8 , hell use the v6 one as it will have more stall. He is wrong.... You are right.

Actually the 'V6' comment was most likely made in reference to the 2.8L found in the S-series trucks. The converters for those are physically different than all others and will not interchange.

the v6 converters he sells are designed for the 3.4v6 and 3.8 turbo, so maybe he was trying to tell me in his own way that he doesnt trust his v6 converters behind my v8 when he said it wouldn't work with a v8. Interesting, since a GN will blow my doors off!
