I was thinking they're hypers but they're on the shiney side(almost like forged slugs).
 
they look like hypers to me. You'll know for sure when you look at the bottom side of them. sometimes forged pistons have a darker top to them as well.

I agree that they probably aren't forged pistons only for the fact that forged pistons aren't readilly available for a 4.1 motor. If they are forged then they would have been special order.

If you had pictures of the whole piston, including the underside, then you could tell if they were forged or cast. But not just from looking at the crown. Cast pistons have a lot of detail on the underside, like manufacturers logo, etc, that forged pistons don't have. Of course, you could cast a piston to look like forged piston, then it would a forged forged piston. Forged piston forgery?
 
My forged TRW's have the part number stamped into the tops where you can see it from that angle...
