Looking for a stock gas tank in good condition and willing to ship.

Thanks

There are 2 stock used one for sale on eBay right now.The original ones are the best one is from an 85GN the other from an 87

The rusty 87 tank looks like it has holes but yes knew about it and I'm not sure if there is an original 85 tank? Have not seen it, thanks.

Are you willing to to ship?

any picture of it? Thanks
Any idea what the best way to ship it would be? I'm assuming Fastenal on a pallet. But I bet shipping will be $200 that way. I'm almost thinking the Ebay one might be a better option. If it shows up damaged, at least it's not on you.

I'd think in a box, and just pay the oversize fee. I'm going to look around locally again but im very interested . If all fails I'll definitely contact you.
Thank you

40 yr old gas tank + outrageous ship cost vs this tank? o_O
We've used several. No problems.

Chuck makes a good point in favor of a new tank, Brian.

Remember that Spectra has two versions of the gas tank. GM307A is the NA version without the dog dish pan for the fuel pump sock to sit in while GM307C is the fuel injected version with the dog dish pan.

The only belly-ache grumbling with the GM307C version is the pan is not as deep as the OEM. So don't race with an empty tank, if you lift the front wheels through the lights.

Link directly to Spectra site for GM307C spec =>

I'd get it from Summit (drop shipped driect from Spectra) for $189 + the $11 oversize shipping charge. If anything happens during shipping, it's easy to work with Summit and an item that shipped direct from the manufacturer.

For comparison, link to Spectra for GM307A spec =>
