Are these stings necessary?

I have no way to measure the spring rate at installed height but I can give you dimensions..took these pics the other night and forgot to post them.

its the same spring only half is painted red

edit: i'll be damned it is a different spring in the last pic wtf

edit again! fixed the pics, other one was a stock tv limit spring, sure sign I have too many trannies on the brain. waking up at 6 am realizing I had a dream about them was another sure sign...

I guess this route might make it easier for the hobbyist but you can get stiffer single springs through Lonnie, etc...

Probably work fine. Though if you are gonna buy springs you might see about a stiffer single spring vs an inner which is what everybody besides transgo is doing
