I sent the ebay listing to the dealer, and the dealer listing to the ebay seller. Lets see what happens. That car belonged to a neighbor of mine. Very pretty, but it was repainted with some over spray. I was told by a salesman at the dealer that they repaired a blown head gasket before they put it up for sale.

Well it apprears the guy who has it on ebay might be a car guy as well. Shows a yellow Vette buy a shed with car signs on it.

Is it possible they wholesaled/sold the car maybe and he thinks he can make a buck?

Or do you think its a fraudulent ebay listing?

I don't know what to think. Maybe he is just trying to sell the car for the dealer. However, he is two states away and he doesn't mention that in the listing. If I remember, I'll drive by the dealer tomorrow and see what they know, if they don't email me first.

The plot thickens. Here is the ebay seller's reply:

Dear illinidude,

no,i have no idea about the car. thanks

I went to the dealer today. He said he auctioned the car at Mecum auction in Indiana. So apparently the ebay seller is just trying to flip it. I asked him about the head gasket and he said it was the intake gasket.
