Bmason, I guess you have a stock converter on your higher mileage car? How does that work with the TE60, in other words how is the lag? How much boost do you make in each of your cars?

thanks alot, your cars are quick for what you have and I'm going to do a combo just like your higher mileage car.

I built the engine myself. Best Machine in Utica, MI did most of my machine work.

4 caps cost $525 plus fitting and line bore/hone Which can cost between $250 to $450. I have never bought a girdle but they should be about $350 or so. So the whole thing should run about $1125 to $1325. You can find a stage block for that kind of money!! Plus Stage blocks have extra head bolts for better head gasket retention.

I guess that's why I never bothered with caps and a girdle.
