ARP bolt part numbers....

i just recieved arp main stud kit. part number
222-5602 .....wrong kit PER THE LADY AT ARPS PART SELECTION.

this is for a stage 2 016 block.


does anybody have the correct part number?

What's wrong with kit? Bolts too long? how long are they?

How long are the bolts you got for me? My block may be slightly different than yours.

I started looking and comparing the two S2- 016 blocks I have and they are definitely different. The oiling is way different.
One block has an 85 casting date and the other doesn't have a date at all.

I'll bet the outside main bolts hole are at different depths.

Bolts in 222-5602 kit:

6 short studs
2 long studs
6 2.5 inch bolts

my block needs:

2 short studs for the rear cap ( thats fine since the short studs are correct, so i will keep 2)

6 long studs ( again..the long studs are correct so ill keep the 2)

the allen head bolts i pulled out of my block are 2.25 inches long.

Cog drive- measure them.

9secv6- i work at Ramchargers and i cant figure it out...and the ARP girl couldnt either.

Dave- call me. measure what you need. i am calling ARP monday for them to ship me the correct bolts.

ARP Studs

I have two Stgll blocks here, one has 2.250" side bolts in the splayed caps the other has 2.500" bolts, I guess different builders did different things, BTW good luck!

My block is a late 1985 with all 4 billet caps, the 12 point bolts that came with the block from Buick are 2.5" not including the bolt head

How about the studs? are your rear studs shorter?


i have the stock billet caps on the front three and the stock rear cap on the rear.

i had no idea of the block diffrences.

i love running parts changes!!!

The 2 rear main studs are shorter.
