Thanks, noob question whats the difference between a lock up and non
A lockup converter has a clutch built in it which engages and lowers the engine's rpm's (a little bit like an overdrive would...). Obviously, the non-lockup ones don't have that feature, but on the other hand, they usually can withstand more hp than lockup ones. The more ''serious'' racers usually go for a non-lockup unit.
