Hey everybody, I'm getting close to running a high 10 second time. I have an art Carr 10' lockup and was wondering if it's safe to lock it up at the track? Thanks in advance

art carr (cpt) makes a 10" lockup?? or is it one of the texas art carr converters

probably not , maybe at 12-13second hp level but not 500hp level , will just smoke the lockup clutches and cause more heat in the converter
best is call Art carr 8007282277 (if its his) and see what he thinks since he built it and would know what size clutch is in there but id guess unless you have a multi disc (which it wont) its not going to hold and you will be worse off for trying

Cool thanks for the reply. I won't risk it. I think it's too loose on the top end. With a 1.65 60ft I went 11.40 @ 117. Only picked up about 20 mph in the last eighth. Guess I better start looking for a new lu converter.

Well after talking to Art himself it appears that I have a Texas Artcarr converter.
