Is there such a thing as an ash tray delete option?? I picked up a car that had no ash tray and had a plug in the cigarette lighter that had a no smoking emblem on it. I will post a pic.....Dave

the plug is sold at every part store around . He probably just took out the ash tray.

Prolly an anti-smoking guy. Most are former smokers. You know, there have been a couple of people that have tried to light up in my GN...

There has been talk about that from some of the roomers that i have heared. So it would not suprise me one bit that it has happened. Our government is madly in love with taken our rights away from us.

what right has been taken away here? someone decided to take the ashtray out of their car..

What type of car are you referring to?

Some car manufacturers build cars without ash trays or lighters. If you want them you have to add the "Smokers Package" to them.

my brother's '04 Cavalier came without an ashtray, and the lighter plug says right on it to use it only as an accessory plug.
he is a smoker, and didn't even realize that the car was this way until about a week after he bought it and wanted to use the lighter. in his defense, it is a pretty nice car and he isn't a car guy..

Funny thing is that most cars used to come standard with at least 1 tray and lighter. My 90 Caddy Fleetwood has 4 of each.
