Can someone post some photos of an Astroroof slider that shows how it's supposed to be finished on both sides? I received a loose board that needs to be refinished before I can install it and I want to do it properly.

Thanks!

I have the one out of my car and only the bottom side is finished. because you cant slide it forward with top open. and when its closed you cant see through top. i am going to look at another sun roof assembly in my garage tomorrow and ill get back to you.let me know if you still want pictures

The board will be covered & have an over lay of about 1" on the top side. The handle mounts thru the 2 front screws. You should be able to see the old glue marks from the previous material.

Hey Brian how hard is it to take the slider out mine is sagging a little and I want to fix it but dont know how to get it out.

Everyone I have taken out is when the assembly is removed!
We go thru & clean the gears & re-grease then re-assemble.
When they are out the glass lifts up & the slider comes right out. Then we put in a new astro roof seal.
I'm sure there is a way to do it installed.I'll look at one tomorrow for you.

I exchanged some PMs last week with Turbobuick2 and he said that he's removed the slider board with the Astroroof in place by removing one of the stapled-on side clips that slide in the track. He said it's "no walk in the park" but it can be done. He says that the clip can then be pushed back into place and will stay w/o the staples.

I have yet to tackle this project yet but I also have a new weatherstrip seal to install as well so I may be pulling things apart.
