Yeah, Those (non existing) exhaust seals look like my culprit!! I just pulled the driver side head today and found this.

The car was cold of course when I pulled the head but you can clearly see seepage and the port was oily to the touch.

Ports #2 and #4 was oily throughout with #2 being the worst

Yep.. I'd say you have found the smoke source!
New valves, a guide check, some machine work, and seals = GTG!

Too bad your mechanic didn't have the heads done. Would have saved a bunch of bs.

UPDATE! NO MORE BLUE SMOKE! The machine shop machined the exhaust valve guides for seals. I used the Fel-Pro SS72623 seals for intake and exhaust. I also changed over to the smooth exhaust valves (deleting the "step" in the originals) I used Mellings exhaust valves part# v1389 and PRESTO! I cant tell you the feeling of watching my car idle without the smoke. Its been a long time coming! Now...on to turbo upgrades and other fun shit...Thanks again guys! Score one for Buick Mark!

Just found 1 intake and 1 exhaust valve stem seal pulled up on the valves.... new set and voila!!! no more smoke for me either
