I'm going to have to rebuild my trans but I'm not sure if I need to put in a billet drum. Is there a certain point where this piece is necessary? If I had to guess I'd say my car is a high 12 sec car. It has never seen slicks or a race track and is not likely to.

If your not racing it at the track and it run high 12s laeave the stock drum in
it.Chances are youll be fine,Best to make sure it shifts properly and not to hard, this will take its toll on the drum.Proper shift control means everything,
If the trans doesnt already have a shift kit,Get onw of CKs kits,They are fantastic at proper control
