I won the display engine w/ stand and paid $575
No cam, rods or pistons (big deal )
I tore it down soon as I got home....I was sure the crank and block were toast BUT!
had STD/STD turbo crank
STD bore 109 block w/ oil pan
stock valve covers
8445 heads w/ stock valves and springs, ARP bolts
intake, fuel rail w/Precision polished plenum
throttle body w/ 7th inj.
crank pulley & balancer w/ timing doctor tape
rebuilt turbo w/ polished compressor side and Adj wastgate
Billet aluminum W/P pulley, water outlet lots and losts of SS Allen head fasteners
Then I bid on a lot in a room with and scored a box of GM lifters (enough for 4 engines), 5 VDO gauges, billet aluminum lower control arms, GM fuel tank sender asm., tons of brass fittings, hoses, 6 billet aluminum valve cover spacers, 1 SS polished up-pipe, a bunch of SS t-bolt clamps and misc crap all brand new. There was some office supplies I sold to a lady who wanted them.
Not a bad day at all. I could barley fit it in my car.
But I got there a little late and the bidding went fast and furious, there were some who made off really well.
Like the guy who got 3" single shot exhaust 3" dual exhaust, 3 SS up pipes, Catalyst, misc pipes and two BRAND NEW GM stage II heads (bare) for $375!!
