Well, I now have the Downpie, its just not on the car yet. My question is, what all has to come out in order for the DP to go in? Also, is there any welding or cutting or anything like that that has to be done in order for the pipe to install correctly?

Thanks :)

NO welding NO cutting

Just a new doughnut gasket for the turbo
and hada remove the A/C / ALT bracket to slide it into place.....

It takes a lil - no...a lot of patience to insert it....

Install will prob take you about 1.5 hrs
or so....

i had to take header off.. but i didnt move the ac/alt bracket..

Unless they have changed

Unless ATR has changed the way they do the down pipes your going to have to figure how to connect it to your exhaust. If your using the cat you'll have to make up a flange and cut the pipe and install the flange. If your using the late model exhaust if you can get a gutted cat or go cat less you won't have to cut much at all. Mine runs through a 86-87 exhaust using a gutted cat. I ran it completely through it with about a 1"going in the Y-pipe and I still had to cut 3"off. if you go catless you'll just have to mate it to the exhaust. This was two years ago and maybe it's different. Don't cut untill you have everything in place. Give your self plenty of time to work on it.
