ATR Wastegate Question

With all the bad talk about this wastegate should we just bite the bullet and get a different make? Also, how do I tell if it has the John Craig upgrade?
I got the Headers, downpipe, and Gate used off the board so I am not sure what I have.

I second that request. I am going to the Innovative E-Boost controller and am wondering if it will work. I seriously doubt my wastegate has had any mods. The headers, d-pipe and wastegate were new to the car when I bought it 8+ years ago. Help us please.

My personal experience was also posted.. Not good.
