Driving car yesterday in traffic with ac on scanmaster car temp read 207 and ATS was flashing hot but as car started moving went back to numeric readings should I worry

was electric radiator fan running full blast?
sounds like temp dropped when you got more airflow
could be radiator loosing efficiency
what thermostat are you running?
i have not gone over 195 or so i am running stock which i think is 180 thermo

The ATS is just the reading from the air temp sensor on the intake piping. Mine gets pretty hot sometimes (like 120's), but I've read on the scan aster instructions that it only goes so high, the. Will read "hot". I don't think it's anything to worry about. Just don't beat on it when coolant is 207 and ATS is "hot".

You might check to be sure you don't have any obstructions in or around your grill. I see cars driving along all the time with plastic grocery sacks on their grills. I often wonder if it affects their operating temps.

thanks definitly not beatin on it was in rush hour traffic 85 deg. for a few with the ac on the flashing hot went away after air started circulating

When's the last time you went through your cooling system? Might need to do a flush etc.

It's really nothing to worry about. The ECM has a limited range to measure temperature (Just like the MAF and other things). It peaks at around 200. All it means is the underhood air has gone over 200. If the water temp is fine no worries.
