I need a new / replacement TCC brake switch. Does anyone know of the correct part number and or retailer that carries it for the GN ?

use same part as for the 700r4 /4l60E . very common part and comes with little spacers or studs with the nut that acts as the spacers for use in the 2004r

I thought he was talking about the brake pedal, +12 power interrupt switch.

My mistake.. i think you're right , does say tcc BRAKE switch

turbo96max, if you are referring to the switch at the brake pedal, it will vary dependent upon whether the car has/had cruise control or not. With cruise control (CC) the TCC power switch is paired with the CC vacuum release, on the same switch:

STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS SLS234
Alternate/OEM Part Number(s): 1645516, 212346, 212347, 25509432, 25523376, CCA1279, CCR2

If the vehicle doesn't have CC, then the TCC power switch is paired with the rear brake light switch:

ACDELCO Part # 25523465
Stop Lamp Switch & TCC 2ND DESIGN; 2 SETS TERM ON SI OF SW; w/o Cruise Control(K34)

Note that there is a good possibility that the current switch can be cleaned, re-greased, and reused. As long as the contacts haven't worn through this works. The switch body's are easy to open, just watch out for plunger spring when opening it (under light pressure).

Can do the same with the reverse-light/PN switch at the base of the column. Note that the P/N contracts go to the ECM, not interrupt the starter.

I believe the car has cruise control. it does have 2 brake switches on the pedal. if there is no cruise does it only use 1 ?

will it matter that the vac source of the switch is not connected to the engine, just sitting at atmosphere??

not one bit , that is not really a vac source its a servo bleed and its large to quickly release an engaged servo on brake application

With two switches at the brake pedal the car does (or had) cruise. With a car that doesn't have factory cruise there is only one switch at the pedal.
