Preston Marshall's Handling Guide
Check this. Preston is pretty good, and has some actual autocross experience. It's on the GnTType.org web site, which has some more on brakes and handling.
My 85, which took a new servo, was ~$1,000.
FWIW, I also went with a Yank SS Converter, and that was $900. While lots of people get hooked into just talking about stall, IMO, while that's 2/3 of what improves, the car, there's alot to be gained for a street car, that has a nice converter. If you get the chance try to drive as many different converters as you can, to feel the difference. Some just *slip* all the time till you hit the stall speed of the converter, and others are loose and then tighten up as they get to the stall speed. I may not have used the right term using stall, but, IMO, there's all the difference in the world between them. With having mentioned Autocross, this might be something you'd want to consider.
