aux tranny filter

I want to add an external filter to my tranny. I have brand new base already but it has a diesel fuel filter on it. My local store only has a fuel filter that will spin on it. The hydralic filter has wrong threads. The nipple in the base comes out,can I change the nipple out so the hydralic filter will spin on? They told me the diesel filter will work but I think they are full of crap.
Any suggestions?

No one even has a part# for the proper filter? I wanna get the little tiny inline filter off and get a big spin on filter on it. HELP please!

What brand and model number filter setup is on the car already?

Wix 33109 fuel filter. It is not on the car as of yet. Local parts store has a hydralic filter that will work except the threads are wrong. I think I can find a nipple that fits the filter and the housing too. But I'm lazy and would rather find a filter that will spin on!
