AVERAGE PRICE FOR A STAGE II "street car"

As above for a presentable, not a show car and a street car "could drive it 20 miles to the track and back " that runs say 10.0's to 9.90's without straining it's nuts.
and maybe some 9.70's turned up.

I will be looking early next year for one. so I'm just trying to get an idea of prices.
On center and off center engines.

Greg Kring's low 9 second car was for sale for around $25-27K, I think. It runs 10's on pump gas/street tires and 150 mph with the wick turned up. He'd drive it 60 miles to the track and back.

It's not just a regal with a stage II motor, but its a LEGAL 9 second car.

I don't know if its still for sale or if he still has it , though.

depends on alot of factors, rear, tranny, fuel system, cage, turbo etc......I'd buy Jay Carters car if its still for sale. I think he wanted $17 for it with many brand new parts. Just needed a few things to be finished. Buying one already done is much cheaper, but IMHO not as fun.

make it more interesting and go 9's on the stock block then go stage when you have to pick the crank up off the track

Also depend on how much of it you can do yourself. Even a basic stage set up will be closer to 30 grand if you do none of the labor.

I have a friend who is selling a stage 2 car, off center, M&A heads, right around 5000 original miles. Very nice street car with a/c and all options still intact, probably go for around 25k

Bill, would this friend happen to be Lee Fredrick from South Florida?? Just curious cause the Stage II car you describe and the price sounds a lot like his GN.....

Let go Travis!!!! LOL , actually the car in question belongs to Clint Blackwell in PA, it is as nice a street car as you will find. Clint is selling his race car as well. I can answer any questions about either car if anyone is interested. The street car is a solid, reliable 10.20 car at 20# of boost (3700#+), the race car is in the 3400# range ant runs 8.70's at a VERY conservative 22# of boost. These cars are practically "World of Wheels" ready.
