I usually visit this site a lot, but lately, I have been avoiding it because of the Aw Snap. I have read the other threads on this, but I dont feel that I should change my firewall or reconfigure things in MY computer to get to this only site. It doesnt happen to ANY of the other sites I am a member off and certainly not any places that I surf the net.

I cant imagine the number of new/old members that this has detoured.

Did you try this fix? it works!!!!

"In Chrome, go to the main menu and click Settings. Scroll down to the bottom and click Show advanced settings. Scroll down a little more and under Privacy, click Content settings. Scroll down to where it says Plug-ins and click Manage Exceptions. Under Hostname pattern, type in www.turbobuick.com and change the Behavior to Block and click Done a couple times."

You're basically blocking the problem causing issue without any detrimental affects to anything else.

This is what worked for me , and I'm on everyday !! :)

Thanks for the tip, that has been driving me nuts since having to switch to Chrome in order to get on here period! But the OP is right, probably drives a lot of traffic away when you keep getting errors on only this website in the entire universe....it should just work like every other site without doing anything special.

I tried that fix but then wouldn't allow me to log back on. Something about cookies.

Mark, I think you did what I did the first time I tried this fix . When you are in content settings I think you clicked on the "cookies" Manage Exceptions . I did the same thing . Scroll down to "Plug-ins" then Manage Exceptions , then type in www.turbobuick.com and select block , then done . Good Luck , Sam

Yeah, depending on the version of Chrome you have, you have to look carefully to go into the right settings.....However, what I have now discovered...because I only use Chrome for this website, is that if Chrome is open, then Safari cannot open any other forum it seems...just pulls up the banner page and that it until I close Chrome....

They are making it difficult for me to want to come here often.

The fix I detailed has nothing to do with cookies. You may have made the same mistake one other user did by making the change under cookies instead of under Content settings.

They are making it difficult for everyone to come here. I too have been visiting less often since the most widely used web browser on the planet doesn't seem to be properly supported...

Damn I thought I was the only one. I use chrome but it has only been recent that this started happening. I'll try what Turbodave posted up.

You mean to say that these companies are using Ebonics as an error message?

What a joke!

D

This simple adjustment did the trick for me. Now the only 1 saying Aw Snap is 80's sitcoms! Thanks for finding the cure.
