Axle shafts

I have to rebuild the rear in my car because its making noise and think my axles might be bad so I am wondering if anyone knows if the axle shafts in the 7.5" diff in a regular Regal are the same as the ones in a GN

No. The big difference is that the 8.5 are 28 spline and the 7.5 are 26 spline.

Thanks again turbofish. I just took the reat apart today to inspect and lucky for me tha axles are in great shape its the bearings in the center section that are shot.
