B&M shift Improver Kit

I have an b&m kit on order . Is there any other mods to the separater plate that comes with the kit to make it shift any harder? I thought I was ordering the trans pack when I am actualy getting the improver kit . I had a trans go kit years ago for a th400 and I remember it gave you options on drilling some holes to give you harder shifts. Can you drill alittle bigger hole to get harder shifts than specified ? What could happen?

I know they cost a little more than B&M but did you consider the PTS kit, it come down to "you get what you pay for" in both product and customer support. somethin to think about.


PS and yes there are other mods to not only the sep plate but pr system and vb to get better shifts but it would be diffacult to describe with out knowlege of which hole is which among other things. Such as shift valve and accum springs along with other holes, and larger is not always better.

I just installed a BM shift kit. it was and improvement, but I expected more. So... I ordered the PTS kit and PR system. I'd take Mark's advice and get Bruce's parts. Some people like there shifts hard and some soft, so I guess it depends on the person. Just trying to save you some money and order the right parts the first time. HTH Paul

You can always return the B&M if unused, also PTS's can be tailored to your wants/needs?
