I can't confirm as I don't have one either (glass hood). But its with a bunch of other GN parts I have, so I'm ASSuming...

It should be the secondary (catch) latch.
Found this pic & above the arrow shows what looks like this part sticking up. I believe it mounts under the core support (or that chrome piece in the pic) with the hook part pointing up.
