What exhaust should I put on my GN. I hear the hookers are pretty good and cheap but i've heard lots about the SS and they're quite expensive. Do the SS exhaust flow a lot better than the hookers? I understand the SS sounds more agressive... right? Also, I live in NC and will need to pass emmisions every year but do not want to run cats. Is there a way or system i can get where i can easily interchange the cats with off road pipes??

I passed emissions in FL with a gutted cat and stock exhaust. With flying colors too I might add. I stuck a paperclip in the ALDL to put it in diagnostic mode (at the time I heard it helped, not sure now if it was true). If your car is in good tune, you should be fine. If you like loud, a single shot is lighter and more simple. Whatever you get, just make sure it's mandrel bent (not crimped or made at Midas) and use low-backpressure muffler(s) (read that you can at least see light looking through them end to end). And make sure your cat hanger is in good shape; a bad hanger puts way too much stress on the turbo.

I just installed the ATR Dual 3" stainless system with pit bull mufflers. AWESOME system! The muffs are 3" straight through.
It is expensive, but no regrets! It isn't very loud either, in fact much quieter than I expected it to be. It has a nice deep mellow sound:D

If you want to easily swap cats and dump pipes, use the stainless steel "band style" clamp at the down pipe. These don't crimp the pipes like the U bolt clamps and make for easy removal. I also put a good coat of copper anti seize on all joints.

I can't imagine much back pressure with this system:D:D
