Backspacing w/B-body Spindles????

I've read that the B-body spindles push out the front wheels about a 1/4". I would like to run a 17x8 or 17x8.5 with 255's all the way around. What backspacing have others used with the B-body spindle up front?

If at all possible I'd like to run the same backspacing on the front and rear so I could at least rotate front to back to get longer tire life.

Thanks for any help!!!!!

The B spindles/12" brakes will push the wheel out 1/2" to 5/8" per side.

Ideal backspacing with an 8" wheel would be 4" in back and closer to 4.5" to 5" in front with 12" brakes. 255's up front will likely rub, too.

I have the B body spindles and I run 17x8.5s with 255s up front with 4.25 inch backspacing. They just barely touch the inner fender at full turn, with the outside of the tire, doesn't hurt anything. You could run that backspacing and rim size in the rears too.
