Do you have to cut the slots in it using that tool or just roll it the way it is? You guys that roll the lip, do you leave the trim off or can you roll that too?

Hm...interesting. I might need something like that next summer when I move up to bigger rims. :D

Where and how much for the tool. Some guys in our club might be interested in going in on the tool.

Mitch

I own one of these and will rent it out if anyone wants to use it, it works really well. I use a heat gun to keep the paint from cracking. $60 and you pay shipping, beats paying $250 for a tool you might only use once or twice.

Also, not sure what we are supposed to be seeing in that link but all I see is some guys working on a dune buggy looking type machine. Anyone else see that too?

Did you roll the entire lip or just the portion that the tire would rub ?

Were other mods necessary (like relief cuts) to make the lip roll evenly and smoothly ?

Hmmmm, I must not be loading the whole page for some reason. Weird.

Anyway, I have gotten a couple emails regarding renting the tool I have, and I need to post a couple details.

1: I will require a deposit for the amount of the tool, $250.00, which will be refunded upon return of the tool in good condition. Paypal or money order works fine. If the tool is lost, damaged, stolen, or otherwise harmed, I will fix or replace it with your deposit and refund any amount left after repairs minus parts, labor, and shipping.

2: I won't negotiate the price, it is a set price so everyone who rents it pays the same price. This is fair to everyone. I am open to trades for parts and stuff, just know I don't own a TR anymore so don't try trading buick parts.

3: The set price is for 1 weeks use of the tool. I have no problems if you want to have friends come over and do their cars too, that way you can share the bill. If you keep it longer you will pay more, and screw my schedule up for other people to use it. I rent this on other boards as well.

4: Any requests to rent the tool need to be done by email, this way I can keep track of "first come, first serve". PM's, posts, etc., won't be recognized.

5: If you mess up your car with it, don't blame me. This isn't something an idiot should be using. It seems pretty basic to me, but I've seen guys manage to screw up even the most basic of tasks.

you all need to close your hood and come out of the ge-rage sometimes, that tool is about 4yrs old now....

well its new to me, i just wanted to share... I had no idea about it till Disco Stu told me about it last month
