Bad Chip? Air temp locked

Ever since i installed the extender extreme G chip in one of my cars,the air temp is always 71 degrees. Is this normal?

yes, this is normal.

The Extreme G uses the air temp wiring to tell the ECM what to run for spark advance at WOT. So the air temp data in the datastream is false.
