Badge removal

What is the best way to remove chrome emblems (badgeing) off the hood without messing up the paint?Any help would be great thanks.

I did mine with a hair dryer and then using some 8lb test fishing line passed/pulled between the paint and emblems.

I took emblems off my bike (Same situation) with a heat gun and a credit card. though you have to be very careful if you use a heat gun.

I used WD-40 and a credit card. It also takes stickers off. And i want to wish everone a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New year. Be Safe
