Banner on home page

FWIW, I opened the web page in Mexico, and noticed the banner on the Forums page http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/ is an advertising banner for an insurance company (ING) all in Spanish. Weird how they somehow plant the banner there...I'm pretty sure you didn't put it there.

It's not the top banner, but the one below the "welcome" bar.

I think it's somehow linked to the Ads by Google. the ad box shows AIT TURBO TAPE ad and also BALZERS TURBO PUMPS within the box, but once you go to the /forums section, it's back to the Spanish full-length flash ad.

I got it figured out...Google AdSense. Perfectly normal for the space "rented" by Google. I just happen to be in a foreign country seeing foreign, pretty much useless advertising. NOW I get it.

Well, looks like whatever you did to the code, it worked...no more Mexican advertising. Especially for an insurance company, what relevance would it have with us Buick fans?

Back to normal.

John, there is not a whole lot you can do with google ads. We have it toned down as far as it can go pretty much... Helps offset some costs, also toning it down cut the revenue by 2/3rds but... If we kept it 100% to buick stuff some of the vendors might not like that to much... It is like any decision, pros and cons...
