I was at the store in my GN when a guy pulls in next to me and asks if I still have my original wheels, because I have Welds on it now. He said he is having a problem with his pitting and proceeds to show me in the back of his truck a GN wheel. We get to talking and he said he bought a GN on christmas eve 1987 while he was in the military, drove it for a while and parked it in his garage at his farm which is only a couple miles down the road. I of course ask to see it. Covered in dust, all original with 26k miles, most of which were put on between 1987 and 1990. The fillers were faded and some of the interior plastic looked faded, but I couldn't find a spec of rust anywhere. Being a farmer, he said he doesn't have time to clean it up and drive it. :(

If he's willing to sell. Some of those guys have nothing but piles of rust from what used to be a car...and still won't sell.

He said its the only thing he still has from 1987 and he has no intention of selling.

Didn't think he would. Needs to find time to keep it in tip top shape or it will become a worthless pile, if it's not already. Yeah I know farmers lead busy lives but shoot couldn't you take one day off a week to rest and work on it?

I agree. My car isn't a show car by any means, but you could tell he was impressed with how clean my car was, so I am hoping to see him before the weather gets bad with his cleaned up.
