When I shut my car off the turbo keeps spinning for about 20-30 seconds afterward. Is this normal? I would guess even the old journal bearing turbos did this, but the bb turbo shaft sound is very noticable. It sounds real cool but is it supposed to do it?

That is normal. The b.b. turbo just spins more freely so it takes longer to come to a stop. You should let the car idle down before shutting off so the turbo is spinning as slow as possible. The reason is that when the engine is off the turbo is not gettng oil. Probably not a big deal but could cause wear over time.

yes its normal. i have a GT28R on my Bike and let me tell you when i shut the bike of that thing keeps spinning for a long as time.

I figured as much but I just wanted to check.

Didnt get to make a maiden run yet because I had to come to work this morning right after I finished my install, but it sure sounds totally different just idleing in my driveway. Its a much deeper sound than my ta-60.

It sounds like trouble..:D
