what rod and main bearings are the best to use?

I used clevites in my engine. I know FM makes a wider rod bearing and some of the guys around here that seen to have a good bit of experience use king bearings. I think the clevites would be just fine though.

on the rods, if you use clevites, use the cb 1443, not the 1228, the 1443 are wider, & imo better because of this.

I used King on mine, had a guy that use to work at an engine builder here in town and he said that king bearings where more correct on there size. sometimes he would see other bearing that where thinner on one end or in the middle.

Most people have never heard of them but, i use ACL Duraglide engine bearings with great results. But everyone's got their own opinion:wink:
