We've actually had a nice little break over the past week or so. Had a little rain and some cloud covering so its only been low to mid 90's after a month of consecutive days over 100, most in the 108 range.

Very nice day at Rockport today. Nice onshore breeze and cuties in bikini's.
I'm working in Mexico at the moment. It's been 105 everyday. Holy crap is it hot. When you get in the car you get the windows down as fast as you can and run the air on low until the system actually blows luke warm air. I'm from Michigan so I'm not used to this.
Ummm....sure. It always rains here, so don't any more Kalifornians think about moving here and screwing it up worse.

i think it was around 80 here today, and it has only hit 90 degrees here a couple of days so far this year.
so far July has been anywhere from 65-80 degrees, which is downright cold for MN in the summer. but i'm not going to complain- the mosquitoes don't really like this cold weather all that much.

Official temp was 109 here, today. It's been in the 100's for about a week, with it looking like this for the rest of the week.
It's frickin almost 2100 hours, here and still over 100*
It got to 114* here in 2003 for a period of about two weeks. That was ugly!!

They haven't sacrificed a goat lately. If some one would the temps would get back to normal.:biggrin: JK
I don't use A/C except at night and it hasn't been to bad. The highest it's been so far is 104 but I have good fans so it's not a problem for me. Drink LOTS of fluids and wear a head band soaked in cold water. It helps a lot.

We need some serious heat here in Ohio. Business is steady but not like it usually is at this time of year. Pile on a recession and it's not that wonderful.
At least we are steady. We haven't had to lay anyone off.
Maybe it will be a very cold winter.
Manufacture rebates, Utility rebates, and Tax credits is a great time to buy!
Do you guys do geothermal???

Our Install dept is doing a big geothermal job right now. But I work in service and we are slow. A week of 90 degrees helped a little but we should straight out right now. I'm worried we will be laying off some guys soon if something doesn't change. A few of our guys are working in the sheet metal dept already.

Rain, Rain And More Rain.
We have over 1500 service agreement customers. That keeps 4 guys busy each day doing the tune-up/cleanings on those customers. Myself and another guy stay busy with what service we get and any estimates. If it wasn't for those service agreement customers though we would be in trouble. We get many leads from those customers by word of mouth, and with system replacements when its time. We can only hope for a brutal winter
We have been doing some geothermal jobs as well. There couldn't be a better time to go geothermal with the 30% tax credit with no cap.

It was the Nitro-summer fest at our track and we had some serious firepower coming in for a crowd pleaser of a show, top-sportsman, jet cars, bracket racing, etc. We had a big money race tonight, with a $75 buy-in and $1000 pay-out. We ran TT and were just getting ready for first round of elims. I was second set of cars back in pro. The first set pulls out and goes into the water box. And I was now up in the staging lanes... all the sudden a couple of golf ball sized hail started falling around. Just a couple of them....fwap, fwap. I immediately knew what was about to happen so I looked at my crew chief and said F-this! Jumped in the car and immediately wheeled around and drove as fast as possible back to my enclosed trailer. By the time I got to the trailer it was coming down pretty steady...fwap, fwap, fwap. I actaully drove the car into the trailer (I never do that), and climbed out the window. By the time I got the car in the trailer it was coming down so heavy it looked like it was snowing hail. Unfortunately there were a lot of the cars that didn't react quick enough and get their cars off the staging lanes, and when they did they went back to their trailers they put them under their awnings. The wind picked up and tore a lot of the awnings away, and the hail destroyed their paint/body work. I ended up with two busted up plastic vents on my trailer, a dented up roof, and the roof and hood on my truck was full of dents.
I got the truck and trailer home and looked at the race car with a flashlight and it looks like I ended up not getting a single dent on the car.
I thank you guys for making me aware of what heavy hail can do. We don't get hail like this here, and this was a once in a lifetime event. You guys out in the mid-west educated me, and spared me some serious damage to the race car!!!
