My car is a consistant low 11.20 car. I plan on adding some GN1s, 212/212 roller, and a 50 shot here real soon. With the motor being completely stock....what do i need to beef up to withstand passes in the mid 10's? Main caps, pistons, crank, girdle? What are the parts that give way first?

You'll find that will most say to go with at least 2 center billitt main caps. You can do all 4, but the back main costs almost as much as the first 3 together. If you're going to spend the money for all 4 , instead use the stock caps and do the RJC girdle. Either way machine work is involved. You can use the stock rods, might consider having them polished ( makes them stronger ). Use ARP main studs and rod bolts. ARP's and billitt caps or a girdle will support low 10's easy. Stock turbo crank is fine, just have it checked to see if needs to be turned or just a polish if in good shape. A forged piston is a nice and sensible upgrade. Speed Pro ( TRW ) powerforged pistons are great especially if you are on a budget. If you have the $$$ JE's are as fine as they come, Diamond are equivilant to JE's in price and quality. Do a search on 10 second combo's and alot should come up. HTH

Sounds good, but why the 50 Shot???

The 50 shot is to help spool a 70mm p-trim with an .82 housing. The turbo is a ball bearing turbo, but i like the extremely fast spool that the nitrous provides.

So.... guess ill look the crank over, get ARP studs and bolts, polish the rods a bit, RJC girdle, and some TRW forged pistons.

Thanks for the help....
