I bought mine this month sight unseen. It was a heckuva price and I've wanted a TR since one blew by me while I was driving my first car in 1985 - a '78 Regal w/305-2v.

This '83 T has turned out to be great for the price. No rust, it runs, and it will be a fun project (I hope). Of course it needs just about everything (headliner, interior work, new paint, etc).

Does anybody know of a REPUTABLE TR mechanic in the Phoenix/East Valley area? I need a tuneup, etc so I can get through emissions to get plates for this sucker. If so, e-mail me at baker@lawyer.com

Also, any suggestions for plates? AZ has a website that you can look to see if anybody else has that plate.

Although these GN's look awesome, I was under the impression that the 215 rare ones were GN/SC's, (are'nt they the ones with the turbo engines? )

Both E-bay GN's say they are of the 215 GN/SC's. Yet both are N/A 3.8's....or 4.1's, but certainly not turbos....

215 includes all '82 GN's, 4.1 or 3.8 Turbo.

Regal Sport Coupes are the turbo models. This was the name for the Turbo Regal before it became T Type in 1983.

2,022 Sport Coupes

What's not known is how many cars had both packages. These would be the Grand National/Sport Coupes. 20-30 is my estimated. (I know it's higher than 16 like many claim)

1982 Buick Regal Turbo Sport Coupe
This is the rarest of the turbo regal sport coupes with only 2022
produced. The car has a blown head gasket. The body is nearly perfect.
The interior is fair, some rips in the driver's seat and the headliner
is missing. The dash is in good shape. This is a very restorable turbo
coupe, everything is there except the grille, the engine and turbo
systems are complete and unmolested. Any reasonable offer considered.
